C3S were delighted to work with HSBC to design, manufacture and install a portable structure, specifically designed to give the bank presence at public events.
Within the brief, the solution also needed to provide the bank with a disaster emergency branch facility for use during crisis situations or branch refurbishments.
To meet the multi-faceted brief, the team at C3S Modular developed a twin-unit system – providing one unit with a counter-line and back-of-house facilities; and a second unit with front-of-house, interview and ATM facilities.
For events, such as the annual Open Golf Tournament, the bank uses both units, seamlessly joined together to create a fully functioning HSBC branch. For emergency usage, such as during the 2009 floods in the Lake District, the bank removes the front-of-house unit and simply attaches a modular shop frontage in its place – creating a fast deployment unit that provides the core branch facilities their customers need.
With a high quality interior fit-out, precisely in-line with the bank’s corporate specification, and an anti-bandit and bullet resistant construction; the unit provides a fully functioning banking facility, with the added benefit that it is highly portable and fast to deploy.
By combining the modular buildings, security systems and bespoke joinery skills of C3S, a truly agile addition to the bank’s branch network has been delivered.
